Portugal and Spain 2027 by motorcycle 2027

Portugal and Spain 2027: guided motorcycle expedition, May 22 to Jun 4, 2027, departing from Lisboa with the motorcycle included in the package, organised by the Adventure Dream agency.

14 days of Portugal and Spain, departing from Lisbon, going up the Douro via N222 and down through Andalusia to the Pueblos Blancos. BMW motorcycle, support van and a closed group of ten bikes.

Imagine crossing Portugal and Spain by motorcycle, passing through white villages, historic cities and roads that invite you to enjoy every curve. These are 14 days of travel, with departure and arrival in Lisbon. Our itinerary crosses the Portuguese Alentejo and heads to Andalusia, where we will visit places like Aracena, Seville, Arcos de la Frontera and Grazalema. In the Ronda region, the landscape gains impressive gorges, mountain roads and the buildings of Setenil de las Bodegas, tucked under massive rocks. The adventure continues through El Chorro, Granada, Córdoba and Toledo, combining the pleasure of riding with time to walk through the cities, try the local gastronomy and learn about stories that span centuries. You travel in a group of up to 10 motorcycles and 20 participants, with a motorcycle guide and a support van driven by a second guide. An experience for those who want to get to know Europe on two wheels, with company, comfort and the care of Adventure Dream at every stage. You ride, you live the places and you collect stories. We take care of the organization.

Frequently asked questions

How many days and what is the itinerary?

It is 14 days between Portugal and Spain, starting and ending in Lisbon, from May 22 to June 4, 2027. 2,565 km over 9 days on the road, averaging 285 km per day, and 3 free days. The route passes through Porto, Salamanca, Cáceres, Seville, Ronda, Granada, Córdoba, and Mérida.

Where do we sleep?

Thirteen nights in premium category hotels, at least three stars, with breakfast: Lisbon (2 nights), Vila Nova de Gaia in Porto (2), Salamanca (1), Cáceres (1), Seville (2), Ronda (1), Granada (2), Córdoba (1), and Mérida (1). Four cities have two consecutive nights, so luggage is unpacked fewer times.

What is included?

BMW motorcycle for twelve days, with insurance, top case, and side cases. Thirteen nights in hotels with breakfast. Support van that carries large luggage every day. Two guides, one Brazilian on a motorcycle and one in the van. Route briefing every morning, Via Verde on the bikes for Portuguese tolls, official kit with printed itinerary, photographic record, and airport-hotel-airport transfer. Not included are airfare, fuel, Spanish tolls and parking, lunches and dinners, monument and tour tickets, travel insurance, and personal expenses.

Do I need experience to go?

Yes, road experience is expected. Mountain roads with tight curves, Andalusia heat, and days up to 370 km are not the place for a first long trip. It is not necessary to have ridden in Europe before.

Which bike will I ride?

A BMW trail bike with top case and side cases, delivered in Lisbon on the first day. The exact model is confirmed by the rental company near departure, and the price is unique, with no difference per bike. Distribution follows the order of booking.

Can I bring a pillion?

Yes. The couple's rate is per motorcycle and covers both people, with kit, accommodation, and support under the same conditions as the rider.

What if I go solo?

You choose between sharing a twin room with another solo rider of the same gender, which is the cheapest option, or staying in a single room. The motorcycle is yours either way.

What is the group size?

A maximum of ten motorcycles plus two guides. A small group keeps the pace on the road and hotel and parking logistics under control.

Can I arrive early or stay later?

Yes. The expedition begins and ends in Lisbon, and airfare is on you, so you choose the flight dates. Just let us know during registration so we can adjust the hotel nights.

How does payment work?

A 10% deposit upon signing the contract. The balance can be paid in interest-free installments until the travel date via PIX, bank slip, or card. If you prefer to split it on a credit card, it can be done in up to 12 installments, with operator fees, just talk to the team. Paying in full via PIX gives a 5% discount. The price is fixed in reais, with no exchange rate variation for you.

What if I need to cancel?

In the first 7 days after signing, you can withdraw and receive everything back without a penalty. This is the right of withdrawal from the Consumer Defense Code and applies because the contract is made remotely. After 7 days, you choose between receiving part of the amount already paid or taking a larger credit for another Adventure Dream expedition: up to 90 days before the trip, 70% back or 100% in credit; from 89 to 60 days, 50% back or 70% in credit; from 59 to 30 days, 30% back or 50% in credit. The credit is valid for 24 months. Less than 30 days before departure, there is no refund or credit, as hotels, bikes, and reservations are already paid. You can also transfer your spot to another person up to 30 days before departure, paying only the lot difference, if any, provided they meet the licensing and experience requirements. The full table comes in the contract before any payment. It is worth taking out trip cancellation insurance: it covers what the contract does not refund in case of illness, accident, or other reasons provided in the policy.

Do I need special documents?

A valid passport, a Brazilian driver's license with category A, and an international credit card in the rider's name for the motorcycle security deposit. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended but not mandatory.

When do you confirm the trip will happen?

Departure is confirmed in writing by 02/15/2027, when we reach the minimum of 5 motorcycles. If the group does not close by then, you choose between receiving 100% of what you paid back, with no discount, or taking the full amount to another Adventure Dream expedition. That is why we ask not to buy airfare before confirmation.

When should I buy the airfare?

After confirmation of departure, which is issued by 02/15/2027, about 95 days before the trip. If you want to buy earlier to guarantee price, prefer a flexible fare or miles emission, as airfare bought before confirmation is at your own risk. We help choose the date, route, and time that match the operation.

What is the weather like in May and June?

The expedition takes place in late spring, with long days and steady weather for most of the journey. Northern Portugal and Salamanca are usually milder. Andalusia is much hotter, especially Seville and Córdoba, where the heat peaks in the mid-afternoon. Ventilated gear and frequent water intake are recommended.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, it is mandatory and at each participant's expense. Check if the policy covers motorcycle riding accidents, without displacement limits, and medical evacuation, as many common insurances exclude motorcycles. The insurance for the motorcycle itself is already included in the rental.
